Dave Miller is an American saxophonist, arranger, composer and harmonica player residing in Birmingham. His saxophone stylings reflect the influence of Stan Getz and Joe Henderson, while his chromatic harmonica playing reveals influences such as jazz musician Toots Thielemans and pop / R & B star Stevie Wonder. He is a member of notable jazz groups Ray Reach and Friends, the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame All-Stars, the Magic City Jazz Orchestra, the Night Flight Big Band, and is founder of the group Jazza-Nova. A veteran of the cruise ship bands, Dave studied at the University of Alabama, under noted jazz educators Steve Sample, Sr and Ray Reach.
