Dog Days of Birmingham is a canine day-care, kennel and grooming center located, along with the owners' loft residence, in the former Hunter Furniture store at 112 18th Street North. It is owned by Jimmy and Sue Johnson. Their $660,000 investment in the redevelopment was supported by a $350,000 float loan from the City of Birmingham. The alterations were designed and constructed by Appleseed Workshop.

Dog Days offers boarding, grooming, training and supplies. Dogs boarded or enrolled in day care have access to indoor and outdoor play areas as well as sleeping kennels and training.

The facility was evacuated on the morning of September 12, 2022 due to a strong polyurethane odor from recently-refinished wood flooring.
