Evelyn Nettles "Tikki" Hines (born in Beatrice, Monroe County) is the principal of Carver High School.

Nettles was salutatorian of her class at J. F. Shields High School in Beatrice. She earned her bachelor of science, master of education, and certification in secondary school administration at Alabama A&M University in Normal, Madison County. She also completed an educational specialist degree and a doctorate in education leadership at UAB, along with urban leadership training at Harvard University.

Nettles began her teaching career in Madison County Schools and taught in Lawrence County and Huntsville City Schools before joining Birmingham City Schools in 1995. She was named principal of Ensley High School in 1998, then Green Acres Middle School in 2004. She became principal of Ramsay High School in 2012 and collected a National Blue Ribbon from the U.S. Department of Education the following year.

In 2014 Superintendent Craig Witherspoon, citing an "internal administrative personnel issue," reassigned Nettles to Kennedy Alternative School. Since then she has served as interim principal at Jones Valley Middle School, and worked as a curriculum instructional leader for the system. She accepted her present role in 2018.

Hines is an active member, choir member, youth teacher and small group coordinator for Living Stones Temple. She has two children.
