Evernest

Evernest is a real estate leasing and management company specializing in single-family home and condo rentals, along with small apartment buildings. The company has expanded rapidly by offering management services to individual property owners, as well as by acquiring other management firms. As of December 2022 it manages more than 14,000 properties across the country, with a goal of expanding to 25,000 by 2025. Evernest has appeared several times in Inc. magazine's "Inc 5000" annual list of America's fastest-growing private companies.

Evernest was founded in 2008 by Matthew Whitaker, who was then managing 30 rental houses that he owned. The company's Birmingham corporate office is at Independence Plaza in Homewood. Its local management office is at 1701 Oxmoor Road.
