Lone Pine Gap in 1915, with the Birmingham Mineral Railroad's timber bridge above and the newly-lowered grade for the Edgewood Electric Railway and Montgomery Highway. The streetcar and automobile lanes crossed over each other at the crest of this hill at this time. The dangerous situation was remedied not long afterward.
