Grille 29 is the second location of a fine dining restaurant owned by Restaurant Partners, Inc. of Orlando, Florida. The original Grille 29 opened in Huntsville in 2007. The Birmingham location, in the former McCormick & Schmick's building at Brookwood Village, opened on October 6, 2015.

The restaurant's name references California Route 29 which runs through Napa Valley, where many of the wines offered at the restaurant are made. The interior design features accents of copper (atomic number 29), as a play on the name. Barry Abes is the restaurant manager and Daniel Mitchell, formerly at Greystone Country Club, is executive chef.

Grille 29 serves steak and seafood specialties along with seasonal features. The 7,975 square-foot dining area seats about 230 guests. The bar and dining areas are separated by a 600-gallon freshwater aquarium. An open "pastry deck" or preparation area for desserts and salads, is visible from the entranceway.
