Growing Kings is a non-profit organization which conducts mentorship programs for boys in Birmingham City Schools. It was founded in 2009 by executive director Marcus Carson. He had originally developed the concept to be implemented in Charlotte, where he was working as a financial analyst, but found more acceptance and support in Birmingham and decided to move back. Terrance McKnight is program director and Marcus Nix is program manager.

The group's programs emphasize positive attitudes and critical thinking. The group seeks long-term engagement with at-risk youth, and engages with local partners to expose youth to positive role models in social and professional settings.

Growing Kings puts on an annual fund-raising event called "Chucks & Tux".

In 2019 the "Measure of a Man" program developed by Growing Kings and implemented at Wilkerson Middle School was awarded a $100,000 grant from the New York-based non-profit Everytown for Gun Safety.
