H. B. Thompson

H. B. Thompson (born 1921) is a former Gardendale City Council member and the founder of the Gardendale Youth Baseball program, which he started in 1957 for his son, Larry, then in the 4th grade.

He was honored in 2007 during the 50th anniversary of the baseball league.
