Rendering of the proposed development at 12 floors.

Homing Towers was an apartment building proposed in June 1958 for construction at the southwest corner of 11th Street and 23rd Avenue in Tuscaloosa. Designed by the local architect and Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice Don Buel Schuyler, the proposed tower was to have risen at least ten and possibly twelve stories based on the success in selling the individual units. Costing an estimated $1,400,000 to complete, the tower was to have 75 apartment units, 80,000 square feet of total space and parking for 80 automobiles. Operating in a manner similar to that of a condominium, the building was to have been managed by the residents owning units in the tower. The building itself was to have been modern in style with a pink glazed brick facade. The project never got past the planning stage as not enough persons secured deposits for completed units.
