In Pursuit of Excellence is an hour-long documentary film made by WAPI-TV in 1966 with cooperation from the University of Alabama Medical Center to show the advanced treatments being done at the rapidly expanding training hospital. The film depicted open-heart surgical procedures and It aired in March at 7:30-8:30 PM.
