The Invisible Histories Project (iHP) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to collect and preserve materials relating to this history of LGBTQ issues in Alabama and the southern United States, and to make them accessible to researchers and the public.

The project was founded by Joshua Burford, who also serves as engagement manager, with Maigen Sullivan as director of development. Architect Bob Burns donated a significant amount of material to the archive, which is mostly housed at the Birmingham Public Library.
