Jasika Nicole
Jasika Nicole Pruitt (born 1980 in Birmingham) is an actress and illustrator best known for portraying Astrid Farnsworth in the Fox television series Fringe and Carly Lever in the CBS series "The Good Doctor".
Pruitt graduated from Homewood High School in 1998 and studied dance, voice and theater at Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina. She starred opposite Bronson Pinchot in the musical "Chasing Nicolette" and made her television debut (as "Jasika Nicole") in an episode of NBC's "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" in 2005. She had small roles in film and television before landing her starring role in "Fringe" in 2008. After that series ended in 2013 she won recurring roles on ABC's "Scandal" and WGN's "Underground". In 2017 she appeared in a recurring role that became a main role, as Dr Carly Lever on CBS's "The Good Doctor".
Nicole also produces graphic novels. She married her long-term partner, Claire Savage, on October 5, 2013.
