Jeffrey M. Ronilo (born c. 1970, died August 2008) was a part-time employee of the Bessemer Public Library. Ronilo was charged with with embezzling at least $400,000 from the Bessemer library in November 2006. Investigators believed Ronilo wrote $800 to $1,400 checks to himself over a period dating from 2001 until 2006. In February 2007 he was indicted on the charges by a grand jury.

Ronilo died in August 2008 while out on bond awaiting trial. His attorney, Jonathan Cross, refused to elaborate on the cause of death. In September, Jefferson County Assistant District Attorney Ted Mills confirmed Ronilo's death with the Jefferson County Coroner and dismissed the case.
