Jeremiah Haswell

Jeremiah C. Haswell (born c. 1981 in Ozark, Dale County) is a Senior Research Engineer for Southern Company’s Research and Technology Management group. He is also a former president of the UAB Blazers student organization Gang Green. A February 22, 2002 photo of him in a green fright wig has been used as the organization's logo.

Haswell attended Carroll High School in Ozark, graduating in 1999. He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at the UAB School of Engineering in 2003 and returned to complete a master's in civil engineering in 2008. While in school, Haswell participated in Southern Company's "Industrial Scholars Program" as an intern, working 15-20 hours per week in his last year and a half of school.

Haswell is also president of the Birmingham Chapter of Professional Engineers Without Borders. He was named "Young Engineer of the Year" by the Engineering Council of Birmingham in 2006.

Haswell married fellow UAB alumnus Linsay Green.
