Joe Piper Inc.

Joe Piper Inc. is a national distributor of job lot coated paperboard used in packaging, food service, and other products. The business was founded in 1968 by Joe Piper and has its headquarters offices and distribution facilities, with over 750,000 square feet of inventory, at 123 Industrial Drive, off Lakeshore Parkway in Birmingham's Oxmoor neighborhood. The company also operates a second distribution center at 412 4th Avenue North in Bessemer. Joe's daughter Ann Piper is the company's president.

In September 2022 employee Bonnie Chancellor Jr was killed in an industrial accident while attempting to clear a jammed paper machine at the Joe Piper plant in Birmingham.
