Justin Fox

Justin Mickle Fox (born January 28, 1964 in Lafayette, California) is the business and economics columnist for Time magazine and a former Birmingham News editorial writer.

Fox grew up outside San Francisco and graduated Acalanes High School. He has a bachelor of arts degree in international affairs from Princeton University and studied political science at the University of Leiden (Netherlands). As a journalist he has worked for the Tulare, California Advance-Register, American Banker, and Fortune magazine.

In addition to his columns, Fox writes the "Curious Capitalist" blog for Time, Inc. and serves as a commentator for PBS' "Nightly Business Report". In 2009 Fox's book The Myth of the Rational Market was published by HarperCollins.

Fox married Allison Leigh Downing in 1995 and has one son.
