Kim Sunée

Kim Sunée (born c. 1970 in South Korea) is a memoirist and former food editor for Cottage Living magazine.

Sunée was adopted by a couple from New Orleans, Louisiana after being abandoned by her mother in a market in her native country at age 3. After high school, she continued her studies in France and Sweden. She became romantically involved with French cosmetics executive Olivier Baussan in 1992. She reflected on the relationship and on favorite recipes in her 2008 memoir Trail of Crumbs: Hunger, Love, and the Search for Home.

Sunée lived in Birmingham while working for Southern Living, and then as food editor for Cottage Living. She has contributed to several other periodicals and to various cookbooks, and also served as a judge for Iron Chef America on the Food Network. She currently resides in Anchorage, Alaska with her husband and step-son.
