Lakeshore Garden Apartments is a 220-unit apartment complex at 1 West Rue Maison off of Old Green Springs Road, nestled in the southeast corner of the Interstate 65 and Lakeshore Parkway intersection in Homewood.

The complex was built in 1965, pre-dating the extension of Lakeshore Drive across the interstate. It is made up of approximately 23 buildings and features a pool and small playground.

In September 2004, the complex was flooded when Hurricane Ivan stalled out over central Alabama and heavy rains caused Shades Creek, which runs behind the complex, to quickly rise.

On January 9, 2012, a fire broke out in the attic space of building 1205. Firefighters fought the blaze for over an hour. One unit was destroyed and three others damaged, but no one was injured.

In November 2012 the complex was purchased by John Chapman of Birmingham-based Farris Properties.

On April 7, 2014, the complex was flooded again, with reports of up to four inches of water in places, with 120 residents rescued by the Homewood Fire and Rescue Service by boat.
