Leon Davis Jr (born c. 1962) was Chief of the Fairfield Police Department from 2011 to 2016.

Davis graduated from Jackson-Olin High School and served for six years in the U.S. Navy before joining the department on April 18, 1991. He was assigned as a patrol officer and later promoted to narcotics investigator. From January 1995 to March 1997 he was detailed to a U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency task force, and from there became commander of the Multi Area Drug Enforcement Team coordinating efforts between several western Jefferson County law enforcement agencies.

Within the Fairfield Police Department, Davis advanced through the rank of sergeant to lieutenant to captain as he was given responsibility for supervising daily patrol operations and participating in internal affairs cases. In May 2007 he was appointed deputy chief, and then succeeded Pat Mardis at his retirement in April 2011.

Davis stepped down effective May 1, during a period when the future of the department was made uncertain by a city budget crisis that followed the closing of a Wal-Mart super center.
