Lifeline Children’s Services is an international non-governmental organization with a mission of protecting vulnerable children by supporting families with unexpected pregnancies and arranging for adoptions. It was founded by Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham in 1981 and currently operates in all 50 U.S. states and in 23 countries from offices on New Hope Mountain off Brook Highland Parkway.

In 2022 Lifeline Children’s Services moved from 100 Missionary Ridge Drive to 200 Missionary Ridge Drive. The 66,000 square foot building was donated to the organization and includes sharable conference space and additional tenant space.

The organization organizes adoptions, provides family restoration services, cares for orphans, and manages educational and counseling programs from an evangelical Christian perspective. Herbie Newell has served as president and CEO since 2003.
