Linq
Linq is a technology start-up founded in 2019 by Shipt veterans Elliott Potter, Jared Mattsson and Patrick D. Sullivan. The company's flagship service allows for sharing and management of contact information using QR codes or near-field communication (NFC) devices.
The company received capital investment from the Alabama Futures Fund, and opened offices in the fund's One721 Building at 1721 3rd Avenue North.
In 2020, Linq collaborated with Dreamheim Studios to creat a special "BLM.BAND" bracelet with an embedded NFC tag which could connect users to a list of resources on the Black Lives Matter movement. The bands sold for $5 with proceeds donated to one of several social justice organizations.
In 2021 Linq secured $2.5 million in seed capital to expand its product lines into retail spaces. It moves its offices to 6,200 square feet in the Saks building in September 2021.
