Lisa Wienhold (born in Germany) is principal flutist for the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and a music instructor at the University of Montevallo, Samford University, UAB and Birmingham Southern College.
Wienhold grew up in Eagle River, Alaska and completed her bachelor's and master's degree in music under Robert Willoughby and Timothy Day at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland. She performed with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and Savannah Symphony Orchestra before joining the Alabama Symphony Orchestra in 1997. During the summer she performs with the New Hampshire Music Festival Orchestra.
Aside from music, Wienhold trains her two yellow Labrador retrievers for competitions and therapy visits.
