This is a list of NBA exhibition games at Legacy Arena. The first exhibition was played in 1976 when the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Détroit Pistons in what was the first basketball game ever played at the BJCC Arena. The 1985 and 1988 exhibitions featured homecomings for Leeds native, and former Auburn University player Charles Barkley playing for the Philadelphia 76ers. At the 1999 exhibition, Barkley announced his retirement from the NBA effective at the end of the season and also donated $1 million each to Leeds High School, Auburn University, and The Cornerstone Schools of Alabama. The 1991 exhibition featured the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan playing at Birmingham.
