Louis Joseph "Lou" Zaden (born November 11, 1949; died August 14, 2008) was the proprietor of Lou's Pub and Package Store in Lakeview, which he opened in 1987.
Zaden was the son of Louis F. Zaden and the former Mary Helen Salem. He attended St Rose of Lima Elementary School and was a graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School. He worked for years at his father's Coalyard Restaurant and Zip's. His brother, Michael Zaden, also went on to own several restaurants.
Zaden died at his home in Vestavia Hills of apparent heart failure. He was survived by his mother and two brothers, Mike and Nick. Services were held at St George Greek Melkite Church and he was interred at Elmwood Cemetery.
