Luther Washington Coggin, Sr (born June 29, 1901 in Mississippi; died June 1979) was an automobile dealer.

Coggin worked as used car manager for Wood Chevrolet. His success led him to the presidency of the Birmingham Area Used Car Dealers Association and vice-presidency of the state association before 1953. That year he resigned from those positions to take up ownership of the Luther Coggin Oldsmobile dealership at 2012 Avenue E in Ensley, managed by his son, Luther Coggin, Jr. They moved the dealership to Five Points West in 1955. Luther, Jr, who at one time held a 25% stake in the dealership, left the business in 1963.

Coggin also served as president of the Huffman Civic Club and East Huffman Water Board, and as an active member of the Downtown Lions Club.
