Magic City Actors Theatre

Magic City Actors Theatre is a theater company headed by artistic director Carl Dean and managing director Leah Faulkner. The company, which was founded in 2006, performs at Virginia Samford Theatre. In addition to a full season of productions, the company organizes an annual children's theater workshop in the summer.

  • December 14-17: "Don't You Just Love Christmas" by Roy Hudson and Tom Paden (world premiere)
  • February 20-25: "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" by Steve Martin
  • May 29-June 3: "Evita" by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice

2007-2008

  • September 21-30: "Bye Bye Birdie" by Michael Stewart, Charles Strouse and Lee Adams
  • November 2-11: "Songs for a New World" by Jason Robert Brown
  • February 22-March 2: "Steel Magnolias" by Robert Harling
  • May 22-June 1: "Aida" by Elton John, Tim Rice, Linda Woolverton, Robert Falls and David Henry Hwang

2008-2009

  • August 15-17: "Scenes in a Teen's Life" by Greg Evans
  • November 7-16: "Duke Ellington's Sophisticated Ladies"
  • February 13-22: "Romance Romance"
  • April 17-26: "Talk Radio"
  • May 29-June 7: "Pippin"
