Majestic Coffee Company
The Majestic Coffee Company was founded in 1927 by Aristides Kokenes to distribute coffee and spices. Within a year, the business added chinaware, serving ware, and commercial equipment to its line, evolving into a supplier to hotels in Alabama and other southern states.
Aristides' son, Constantine joined the firm in 1936. The business changed its name to the Majestic Hotel and Supply Company in 1939 or 1940. On November 11, 1943 the Majestic Manufacturing Company of St Louis, Missouri filed a trade mark suit against the company. It was decided in favor of the plaintiffs in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama on June 19, 1946.
