Mary Ann Sampson

Mary Ann Sampson is an artist specializing in bookmaking, miniatures and broadsides.

Sampson received her Masters in Books Arts from the University of Alabama. She is an active member of the Guild of Book Workers, and co-chaired the southeastern chapter of that body. She served on the founding artist board for Space One Eleven and served as a panelist for the Alabama Council of the Arts. She served on the executive board for the Magic City Art Connection and as president and advisory board member for the Birmingham Art Association.

Sampson has received awards from Jacksonville State University, the Birmingham Museum of Art and the Birmingham Arts Alliance. She is the founder of the OEOCO (One-Eye Opera Company) Press, which publishes limited edition letterpress books, custom bookbinding and unique editions.
