Matt Coulter is a sports announcer and radio host. He co-hosts the weekday morning show on WSPZ-AM with Scott Griffin. He is also the radio voice of the Birmingham Steeldogs and the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. He serves as the public-address announcer for the Talladega Superspeedway, and hosts "Talkin' Hoops with Wimp Sanderson and Sonny Smith on the College Sports South television network.

Previously, Coulter was a sports reporter for WVTM. He has also provided play-by-play for the Birmingham Fire and Birmingham Barracudas and color commentary for UAB Blazers basketball and football for 8 years. He began his tenure with the Steeldogs in 2005.

He was passed over as play-by-play announcer at UAB after the retirement of long-time announcer Gary Sanders. Cory Provus took over that job. Coulter started broadcasting for Jacksonville State University in 2006. He also hosted the lunch-hour show "Middays with Matt" on WJOX AM 690 from 1993 to 2006. In 2005 Coulter was dropped from WJOX's "Morning Express" which he had co-hosted with Jay Barker.

Coulter was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas but grew up in Huntsville, Alabama.
