Metalplate Galvanizing (formerly Metalplate & Coatings) is an industrial metal coatings company headquartered in Birmingham with six plants across the southeast.

The company's origins date back to before 1950. The Metalplate Marine division, added in the mid 1960s, added high-grade galvanizing to the plant's capabilities.

Metalplate built a plant in Atlanta, Georgia in 1970, in Jacksonville, Florida in 1980, and expanded into the Texas market with its first Houston plant in 1990.

Metalplate has two plants in Birmingham, Plant 1 specializes in centrifuge work and small shapes. it is located at 757 44th Street North. Plant 2 features a 42' foot long kettle, and is located, along with the company's main offices and technical department, at 1120 39th Street North.

The company is a member of the American Galvanizers Association, the Steel Structures Protective Coatings Institute, the National Association of Corrosion Engineers, and the American Society of Testing and Materials.
