Michael R. Jordan (born April 4, 1955) is senior pastor of New Era Baptist Church and a former educator in the Jefferson County School System.

Jordan earned a bachelor's degree at Miles College in 1982 and a master's degree from the Morehouse School of Religion in 1987. He has also been enrolled in graduate studies at UAB and at Samford University's Beeson School of Divinity.

In 2010 Jordan became one of 14 candidates to qualify for a special election to fill the Jefferson County Commission District 1 seat left vacant when William Bell became Mayor of Birmingham.
