Miss UAB is an annual beauty pageant held by the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The contest, which was first held in 1983, is one of 50 qualifiers for the Miss Alabama pageant. Scholarships are awarded to top finishers.

The pageant is a successor to the "Miss University Center" competition held during the Student Government Association's annual spring dance, beginning in 1957. Bertha Smith was the first student to receive that honor.

Twenty-two students participated in the first Miss UAB pageant, which selected a winner on March 26, 1983.
