Mount Olive Road

Mount Olive Road (also known as County Road 77) is a long, winding road that snakes its way in a northwesterly direction through Northern Jefferson County. It starts in Gardendale, passes through Mt Olive, and ends in Warrior.

Route

The southern end of Mount Olive Road is at Main Street across the street from the Gardendale Civic Complex and adjacent to Gardendale High School. It ends at the intersection with Warrior Jasper Road and Corner School Road.

History

On July 1, 2019 the Gardendale City Council approved a resolution to rename the portion of Mt. Olive Road that runs from Main Street to Fieldstown Road to Rocket Way. This change became effective on January 1, 2020 and affected all street numbers from 1-999.
