Mr Blonde Wonder

Mr Blonde Wonder (born c. 1979) was the mascot for the Birmingham Stallions under the name "Field General".

He was sired by Otoe Wonder, and traces his lineage to the legendary Three Bars. At 15 1/2 hands and 1,200 pounds he was trained by James Kennedy at Mountain View Stables in Clay and owned by Larry Cowart of Birmingham.

Mr Blonde Wonder was selected as mascot for the Stallions in 1983 and a contest was held to give him a "stage name". "Field General", suggested by public relations executive Dave Mace, was selected from among 3,243 entries. The horse appeared at Stallions home games and is depicted in the team's logo.
