Murray Kidd

Earl Murray Kidd (born c. 1936; died October 15, 2013) was an architect and founding principal of KPS Group.

Kidd was First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserves. He completed his bachelor of architecture at Auburn University in 1959 and established his own firm in 1965, later partnering with Gray Plosser and Rick Sprague in the firm now known as KPS Group. He retired in 2003.

Kidd was an active member of AIA Birmingham and served one term as president. He also served as president of Horizon 280, of the Mountain Brook Swim and Tennis Club, and as a member of the board of directors of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama

Kidd died in 2013. He was survived by his wife, Judy, four daughters, ten grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
