Neco Brett

Neco Jeborie Brett (born March 22, 1992 in Kingston, Jamaica) is a forward for Birmingham Legion FC in the USL Championship.

Brett played with the Harbor View and Portmore United football clubs in Jamaica. He scored a 35-meter goal for Jamaica in the second game of the 2011 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship in Mexico. He enrolled at Robert Morris University in Moon Township, Pennsylvania on a soccer scholarship in 2012. While in college he scored 42 goals and 16 assists. He also played for the Fort Pitt Regiment of the National Premier Soccer League, and for Reading United of USL League Two.

Brett was selected 40th overall by the Portland Timbers in the 2nd round of the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. He made his MLS debut late in a 4-2 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps on May 22 of that year, but was loaned to the Portland Timbers II USL Championship affiliate for the next two seasons.

Brett signed with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the USL in 2018. He had four goals against Birmingham Legion in the 2019 USL Championship's Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. He joined Birmingham on December 17, 2019. Brett led the 2020 Birmingham Legion with nine goals scored.
