The Oasis Day Spa & Wellness Center is a massage business located at 3325 Rocky Ridge Plaza, Suite 211. The business was opened in October 2020 by LaVan Johnson. Johnson was arrested on January 21, 2021 and charged with six counts of first-degree sexual abuse. More counts were added as the investigation continued. He was indicted by a grand jury in March 2023 on a total of 26 counts of sexual abuse.

Johnson, an 11-year U.S. Army veteran and former chief of police in Autaugaville, Autauga County, claimed that because he provided "Native American" healing and massage therapy, he and his staff were exempt from licensing by the Alabama Board of Massage Therapy.
