The patio outside the club was the scene of a fatal shooting in October 2017. At the time it occurred, the Birmingham City Council's Public Safety Committee was already holding public hearings about noise complaints, infractions regarding the sale of liquor and tobacco, and security concerns. The committee recommended revoking the club's business license. After a presentation by the club's owners, the City Council voted to delay action for 16 weeks while their proposed changes were put into effect.
