Paul Rogers (born in Birmingham) is a film editor.

Rogers is the son of attorney Alan Rogers and photographer Melissa Springer. He began making films with his friends when he was 8 and continued to try to submit films rather than papers for school projects whenever possible. He graduated from Homewood High School and studied film editing at the College of Santa Fe in New Mexico. After that he returned to Birmingham and worked at Alabama Public Television, editing "We Have Signal", a music program recorded at Bottletree.

After viewing director Kahlil Joseph's short film for the Flying Lotus' album "Until The Quiet Comes," in 2013 Rogers made plans to move to Los Angeles and seek work with its editor, Luke Lynch. After several small projects, some unpaid, Rogers joined Lynch, Joseph and Graham Zeller as a partner in Parallax. Once he was established, he was joined by his wife, Becky. They reside in Altadena, California and have two children, Jomei and Enso.

Rogers' former APT colleagues Justin and Helena Gaar invited him to fellow Birmingham native Daniel Scheinert's birthday party at the Moonlight Roller Rink in Glendale, California. They connected and Rogers was asked to edit Scheinert and Daniel Kwan's music video for by DJ Snake and Lil Jon's single "Turn Down for What". The 2014 video was a viral hit and Rogers continued working with Scheinert and Kwan on a few short films, and on the 2019 feature film "The Death of Dick Long".

Rogers characterized his job on the 2022 feature "Everything Everywhere All at Once" as, "to push the edit to its breaking point," from which he and the directors could pull back only as much as necessary to preserve what held the film together, which was often the performances of the cast. The film won dozens of awards, and Rogers was presented with the "Best Editing" Oscar at the 95th Academy Awards in March 2023.
