Neighborhood map Penfield Park

Penfield Park, sometimes rendered as PenField Park is a small neighborhood in Birmingham's Airport Hills community, north of Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport between Airport Road, Lawson Road, Marshall Avenue and Tarrant-Huffman Road. The neighborhood is made up mainly of houses in the Penfield Heights subdivision.

Rosalyn Heights was annexed into Birmingham in 1964 and the rest of the neighborhood was annexed along with the larger Airport Hills area in 1977.

It abuts the Zion City and Brownsville Heights neighborhoods to the south, Brummitt Heights and Pine Knoll Vista to the west, Maple Grove to the north, and Roebuck to the east.

The neighborhood is represented by William Parker in Birmingham City Council District 4. Willie Biggs is president of the Penfield Park Neighborhood Association, which meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Maple Grove Church of God on Lawson Road.

Students in Penfield Park attend Robinson Elementary School, Ossie Ware Middle School, and Huffman High School. There are no parks or public facilities in the neighborhood, but it is close to Birmingham Fire Station No. 29 in Maple Grove. Friendship Baptist Church is the largest congregation in Penfield Park.
