Byron Sonnier (born October 31, 1974 in Lake Arthur, Louisiana) is an artist and musician.

Sonnier's family moved to Baton Rouge when he was a teenager and he graduated from Tara High School there in 1992. He later relocated to Birmingham, drawn to the postindustrial landscape that was easily associated with the punk rock, graffiti and vernacular photography that he was pursuing. He played with several groups at Cave 9 and Magic City Wholesale, most notably with the Sworn Enemies and GT.

In addition to graffiti, Sonnier began creating visual art (paintings, sculptures and installations) drawn from the imagery associated with his childhood religion and the vernacular south. He participated in several group shows at Bare Hands Gallery, Lite Box Gallery, Rojo and Bottletree, and has also had his work shown at the Birmingham Museum of Art, Art Folk Gallery, the Alabama Contemporary Art Center in Mobile, and the Eastern Shore Art Center in Fairhope. In 2019 Sonnier was profiled for the "Monograph" documentary series on Alabama Public Television.
