Robert E. Morris

Robert E. Morris (born c. 1945) is an ocular surgeon at the Callahan Eye Foundation Hospital and an associate professor of opthalmology at the UAB School of Optometry.

Morris earned his bachelor of science at Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana in 1967 and graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1973. He completed his residency at the Eye Foundation Hospital in 1976 and continued his studies with fellowships in Köln, Germany and Miami, Florida. He joined the faculty of the Department of Opthalmology in 1979.

In August 2009 Morris performed reconstructive surgery on the injured eye of Indian field hockey goalie Baljit Singh.
