Rosamond McDuff

Rosamond H. McDuff (born February 8, 1926 in Birmingham; died September 5, 2009) was a Birmingham Police officer, veteran of the Army Air Corps, and computer programmer for ACIPCO.

McDuff was the son of Fred McDuff, then Birmingham Police Chief and later Jefferson County Sheriff. He followed his father's footsteps into law enforcement before moving into industry.

During World War II McDuff served in the Army Air Corps and traveled to Formosa (Taiwan). He continued to fly privately after the war.

He married Mary Evelyn Morgan at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in North Birmingham on August 8, 1947. They had five children.

McDuff died of cancer in 2009. He was survived by his children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
