Rush of Fools is a Contemporary Christian rock band. It was formed by guitarist Kevin Huguley and vocalist Wes Willis in Auburn in 2005. They soon recruited bassist Jacob Chesnut and drummer Jamie Sharpe. The band's name is taken from 1st Corinthians 1:25-27 ("For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong."

They played a few shows at churches and youth camps in the Auburn area and then entered and won the inaugural Band With a Mission talent contest held in Nashville. Keyboardist J. D. Frazier, who sometimes sat in with the band, was invited to become a full time member. After winning the contest in April 2006, the group received offers from several producers and labels. They signed with Nashville's Midas Records and began working on a debut album. Rush of Fools was released on May 8, 2007 and the album's first single, "Undo" won heavy airplay on Contemporary Christian radio from the start. It ranked as the top Christian song on Countdown Magazine's charts for five consecutive weeks (June 4 to July 2, 2007) and ended the year as the most-played song of 2007 on Adult Contemporary Christian Music radio stations according to R&R magazine. Their second single, "When Our Hearts Sing" also got heavy airplay, ranking as the 7th most-played song of the year.

Rush of Fools earned four nominations at the Gospel Music Association's 39th annual "Dove Awards" in 2008. They were nominated for "New Artist of the Year", their self-titled album was nominated for "Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year" (Rush of Fools), and "Undo" was nominated as "Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year" and "Song of the Year". They performed at the April 23 ceremony, but did not win in any category.
