Amanda Schedler Fine Art
Amanda Schedler Fine Art (formerly Schedler-Minchin Fine Art) is a contemporary art gallery located at 2815-A 18th Street South in Homewood. The gallery was founded in 2001 by Amanda Schedler in a small space next door to Mary Adams Antiques, owned by her grandmother. The gallery originally focused on 17th-20th century drawings and prints on paper.
Amy Minchin joined as a partner from 2004 to 2007, bringing an expertise in contemporary art. The gallery relocated to Homewood and re-opened in 2004 with the first Birmingham Biennial as Schedler-Minchin Fine Art.
In 2007 interior designer Mary Evelyn McKee joined the space with a storefront facing SoHo Square.
In 2010 the Biennial was jointly hosted with Bare Hands' gallery.
After reverting to Amanda Schedler Fine Art in 2007, the gallery closed in 2009.
