Steve Ashlee is a film director and cinematographer. He has produced and directed numerous television ads, corporate films, music videos, and documentaries. He also designed a motion picture film scanner that has been used by major Hollywood studios.

Ashlee has been a juror several times for the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival.

His 2004 film West From North Goes South, starring Phyllis Diller, Morris Day, Tina Louise and Shawn David Thompson, won two awards at the Beverly Hills Film Festival.
