Sun Valley Elementary School, formerly Redstone Elementary School is an elementary school in the Birmingham Public School System feeding into Smith Middle School. It is located at 1010 18th Avenue Northwest, in the Echo Highlands neighborhood.
The Redstone School formerly served the Redstone neighborhood.
The present school, designed by Davis Architects for up to 625 students in 28 classrooms, opened in January 1990 and added students from the overcrowded Arthur Elementary School and North Roebuck Elementary School, as well as from Smith K-8 School, which was slated to be converted to a middle school. It was renamed to reflect its closer proximity to the new Sun Valley subdivision.
