Sursum Corda

Sursum Corda is a 16-member chamber choir directed by Lester Seigel and specializing in Christian and Jewish sacred music. It was founded in December 2006 as an outgrowth of the choral programs at Temple Emanu-El, Canterbury United Methodist Church and Birmingham-Southern College. The name of the group means "lift up your hearts" in Latin.

The choir is registered as a non-profit organization affiliated with Chorus America. The group performed at the 2009 City Stages.
