Snow in February

I can find no confirmation of 10" of snow in February. Mainly I looked here. NWS records began in 1895 and that would be potentially be an all-time record, yet the record in 2/10 is 1.1" (1912), 2/11 is 0.1" (1912), 2/12 is 1.2" (1899), and 2/13 is 2.0" (1905). The NWS Birmingham also did a look back at the Great Arctic Outbreak of 1899 and mentions "Alabama ... was ... covered by a blanket of fresh snow," but it doesn't have seemed to be record-breaking. So I think it's safe to say your source for 10" was exaggerating. --Lkseitz (talk) 08:14, 10 July 2019 (PDT)
