  • There's not much connecting E. T. Leech to B. U. L. Conner except that they traveled in the same newspaper chain and then a reference to the 1926 copyright filing for "A Love Story of Vulcan and Electra" (link) which indicates that Leech and Conner (pseudonym) were each to be credited for the work published in the Post. Clearly other writers used the name, as it survived Leech, but I haven't had any luck finding information about where it came from, what it meant, or what became of it. FWIW, the drawing came from the Houston Press, which apparently had a B. U. L. Conner column in 1925 when Leech was in Birmingham. --Dystopos 20:45, 10 September 2014 (PDT)
